The event will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Every year, Samsung has two major smartphone releases: one in the first half of the year, and one in the second half. That's to say it won't have the curved edges that have become standard on Galaxy S phones since the Galaxy S8.

Earlier this month a picture of a Note stylus was doing rounds on social media and the fact that the Note 9 itself recently cleared the FCC, transparently pointed towards the launch of the company's next flagship device.

The back of the Note 8 is a shiny fingerprint magnet.

The decision to pick August 9 is also not hard to understand since it obviously adds an interesting marketing flair seeing 9-9 (Galaxy Note 9 on August 9) posters everywhere.

He added: "We anticipated that Epidiolex will be the first of many potential FDA-approved medicines based on the cannabis plant". The company is also working on cannabinoid programs against glioblastoma, schizophrenia and more.

Samsung and Apple settle 7-year patent legal battle
Samsung, however, claimed that the compensation should only take parts into consideration and not the entire smartphones. On Wednesday, according to court documents filed, the two smartphone manufacturing giants chose to settle the case.

Serena Williams victorious: Wimbledon amends rules to grant her 25th seed
Novak Djokovic is No. 12, Britain's Kyle Edmund is seeded No. 22 and French Open surprise Marco Cecchinato is No. 31. Seeding is usually reserved for the 32 players with the higher ranking from the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).

For the dual and triple-lens camera, I'd expect that at least one of their functions will be a 2X optical zoom that's now found on the Galaxy S9.

Not too much has been released about the new model, but it is expected to have the massive screen and Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset that runs most of the flagship devices from 2018. The insider claims Samsung is working on 8GB RAM models with 256GB and 512GB of flash memory as well, though it's unlikely either will ever be officially sold in the United States or Europe.

Important to note (pun intended): this year's Note launch is significantly earlier; last year, it was held on August 23. The phone then had to compete with the iPhone X, which launched in November. The company doesn't typically invite the press to events so far in advance, and it's unclear why Samsung chose to announced its next press conference so far in advance.

He was able to spend some time in the U.S. with a pre-production unit to evaluate the software and hardware. "Unpacked | August 9th 2018" is all that is written. Samsung has used the "U" designator since the Galaxy S8 to identify models bound for the USA, which need FCC approval before they can launch to the public.
