Kate Middleton and Prince William have released the official photos for their son Prince Louis's christening, including a new royal family portrait.

Prince Louis's christening was held last week at the Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace in London.

R. Vaughan Williams" "Prelude on "Rhosymedre'" was played as the family enters the Chapel Royal; this song was played at William and Catherine's wedding and the 1981 wedding of Louis's grandparents, the Prince and Princess of Wales.

On July 9, Prince Louis officially became a part of the Church of England, and his entire family (minus the Queen of England) was there to witness the momentous occasion.

The official photos from Prince Louis of Cambridge's christening have been released one week on from the event.

Standing around her are Prince Harry and his new bride Meghan Markle, William and Harry's father Prince Charles, Charles' wife Camilla and other members of the royal family. One shows the duke and duchess with their immediate families.

Kate's parents and siblings also attended, including her sister Pippa Middleton, who is pregnant.

Prince Louis was born on April 23 and is the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev. Justin Welby, presided over Louis's christening, just as he did for George and Charlotte's christenings.

Sadly, Prince Louis' great-grandparents Queen Elizabeth, 92, and Prince Philip, 96, did not attend.

On the sofa, William has a protective arm around George - who will be five next Sunday - while cheeky Charlotte stares challengingly at the camera as if plotting her next piece of mischief.

Prince George's 2013 christening photos were taken by Jason Bell, a celebrity photographer who has snapped stars including David Beckham and Kate Winslet.
