United open the 2017/18 Premier League season when they host Leicester City at Old Trafford on August 10.

"I'm anxious because I'm not training and then I go to the Premier League without lots of players".

"They have the chance to know what it is like to be a Manchester United first-team player and to have the chance to play against fantastic teams - Liverpool, Milan, Real Madrid", he said.

It's since been confimed that his absence from the tour is due to legal issues whilst trying to obtain a visa.

Sanchez started his own training sessions a week before the club requested those not participating in the World Cup to return for pre-season and the Chilean was in good shape after enjoying a rare summer off.

"It's really bad and he's (Sanchez) really sad", Mourinho told a press conference at the UCLA campus on Wednesday. "But it is what it is and we have to try and make the best out of it with the players we have here", Mourinho added.

"No Lukaku, no Lingard, no Marcus Rashford, so if Alexis is not working with us for 15 or 20 days it will be very bad".

United meanwhile have addressed the midfield and defence in Fred and Diogo Dalot respectively but Michael Carrick and Daley Blind have both departed as well.

"Now I look at it as a full preseason for me, and right now things are going really well".

The kit, worn by Paul Pogba, is inspired by the club's historical links with Newton Heath, and has a small train-track graphic intended as a tribute to the railway workers who formed United in 1878.

Sanchez, the highest earner in the Premier League, didn't quite live up to his billing after arriving in January as he struggled to combine with his teammates in the closing stages of the 2017/18 season.

"But there is no one to blame, the club is making the effort, I have to respect the USA authorities in their process of visa selection".
