In the evening of July 27, 2018, the Moon will take on a splendid red brick color during a total eclipse.

A lunar eclipse usually lasts for a few hours.

In Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane the moon will begin to turn red at around 4.24am Australian Eastern Standard Time on Saturday. But the night-time transformation of the moon into a bloody-red orb can be seen by anyone on the Earth below while it is night.
