Manchester United have held an interest in the Colombia worldwide as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in a new centre-back before the end of the transfer window, but it appears that Everton are leading the race to sign the 23-year-old.
The report claims that Everton have agreed a £28.4m transfer fee and only minor details of the transfer now need to be finalised.
Jose Mourinho is desperate to strengthen his Manchester United defence before the transfer window closes on Thursday and a deal for Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld is reportedly close to completion, although a planned move for Barcelona's Yerry Mina has collapsed.
"The Colombian impressed many at the World Cup scoring three times and he's now odds-on at 8/11 to be Manchester United's fourth summer recruit".
Despite a strong World Cup performance that saw him score three goals in Russian Federation, the defender has been pushed further down the Barca pecking order with the arrival of Clement Lenglet.

The defender made only five appearances in La Liga last season after playing second fiddle to the likes of Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti.
It seems extremely likely that Everton will officially announce the arrival of Yerry Mina in the next few hours.
