The Eagles have used Foles as their starter throughout the preseason while Wentz continues to recover.
The Philadelphia Eagles appear to be ready to go with veteran Nick Foles at quarterback to start their title defense on September 6 against the Atlanta Falcons. When they take the field, Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles will be under center.
With quarterback an uncertainty, and top wide receiver Alshon Jeffery not expected to play Thursday, Ajayi could be heavily featured against the Falcons.
Though Wentz has participated in full-team drills, he has yet to be cleared for contact. He's refusing to name a starting quarterback for Week 1.

Quinn claimed that his team was more concerned about preparing for the Eagles' offense overall, rather than for Foles or Wentz.
Wentz was in the MVP hunt before tearing his ACL against the Rams. It would be surprising if Foles didn't play much better on Thursday night than he did in the preseason. The Atlanta game comes a few days shy of that nine-month mark.
The wait is over and any advantage the Eagles tried to convince us they were getting by waiting is now gone.
