Five years after winning his last PGA Tour event, Tiger Woods has claimed the 2018 Tour Championship in outstanding style tonight.

With a chance to cap his remarkable comeback season from spinal fusion surgery with a win, Woods could send the sporting world into meltdown.

Ten months later, he could go to as high as No. 13. There was nothing showy about what Woods did in the final round at East Lake, and there didn't need to be.

-Justin Rose finishing in a three-way tie for fifth or worse.

Tiger Woods walks the 18th fairway during the final round of the 2018 Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club on May 6, 2018 in Charlotte, North Carolina. It all starts at 2:05 Eastern when Woods tees off.

Liverpool vs Southampton, Premier League
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that midfielder James Milner is setting "the best example" to the rest of his first-team squad. I am fine with him, I think he is fine with me and the situation, so that's all.

Jose Mourinho impressed by Wolves ahead of Manchester United clash
Mourinho confirmed Sanchez who has not scored a goal in four games this season, would return on Saturday. The Premier League match between Manchester United and Wolves will be broadcast live on NBC Sports .

The only scenario not now in position after three rounds is Rose, who would need to fall a few spots (and Woods win the tournament) for Woods to win his third FedExCup title.

The 42-year-old held a five-shot advantage at one stage but consecutive bogeys on 15 and 16 cut his lead to two and put some doubts through the massive gallery following him. Either one of those players could get hot and run down Woods; McIlroy remains, pound for pound, the best in the game when his putter is on. For the first time in five years, your guy is a victor on the PGA Tour.

The magnitude of Woods's 80th PGA Tour victory wasn't lost on the president, who has partnered with Woods in the past.

Woods opened with a birdie, while Rory McIlroy made bogey from the bunker on the fourth hole.

He entered the week at No. 20 in the FedEx Cup Standings and - for a few moments Sunday - the mathematicians had figured a way he could capture that $10 million season prize in addition to the coveted Tour Championship title.
