HEXUS have featured Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Odyssey in previous news pieces and Google has chosen this game, and a partnership with Ubisoft, to help it refine the Project Stream game streaming technology.

In order to participate in Project Stream, you have to apply through the Project Stream website and you should have an Internet connection capable of at least 25 MB/S.

In a blog post, Google explained that game streaming is a "technically complex process" and the company hopes to use this public test as a way to "solve some of the biggest challenges" facing game streaming today.

Not much is known about the tech behind Project Stream as of writing, but starting now, U.S. residents with "reliable internet access", Chrome, and a Google account can sign up to test the service out for free.

Rumors were circulating for months that Google was reportedly working on its very own console, which would rely on game streaming technology.
