'2.0' earns over Rs 150 crore in just two days

The advance booking of the film had already broken records and it is being said that the makers have already earned over Rs 120 crore from the advance booking itself. Despite being a non-holiday and non-festival season release, director Shankar's magnum opus 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has set the box office on fire with a Day 1 collection of about ₹74 crore (gross) across the country. Rajinikanth will be seen reprising the role of doctor Vaseegaran and Chitti while Akshay will be making his South Indian cinema debut with an antagonist role. Thursday 20.25 cr, Friday 18 cr, Sat 25 cr. The film released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, as promised. This happens to be the first Indian film that is directly shot in 3D.
