Juventus are reportedly in pole position to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, despite Paris Saint-Germain's advances.

The French side are readying a £9m bid for Ramsey to ward off interest from Bayern Munich and Juventus.

And Pirlo believes the Welshman would be an "excellent" signing for the Bianconeri.

"Ramsey is a great purchase", Pirlo said on Sky Sport Italia.

Ramsey is also one of the top playmakers in the Premier League so far this season, with six assists to his name.

Despite these links, Emery has been pleased by Ramsey's commitment to Arsenal, adding that the midfielder must maintain this focus heading into the second half of the season.

It has all but been confirmed that Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal will be parting ways next year, with the only question being whether it will be in January or July. 'He is a complete player who can do pretty much everything.

There is an incentive for both sides to negotiate, but for £9m, it is not worth Arsenal letting Ramsey leave midway through the season, when it would be very hard to secure a replacement of the same quality at a reasonable price. He played 30 minutes as Arsenal drew 1-1 with Brighton on St. Stephens Day.

"They show me the focus for us and I think it's not easy for Aaron, but I spoke with him and we need his performances for us". We did not win but he is working hard and I am happy. "Above all, I want and he should have his focus for helping us".
