Winter storm targets Wisconsin tonight, Tuesday

The region, more used to rain than extreme wintry conditions, has been hit by a series of wintry storm systems. A few flurries may decorate the area before sunrise, but the main wave of moisture will move in from Iowa into southern Minnesota toward sunrise and then into central Minnesota shortly after that.

The snow just keeps coming. Most of the area sees snow during their morning commute, but this transition will be taking place area-wide throughout your morning travel hours.

The timing of the snow will be after 9 pm Monday evening and lasting through much of Tuesday. The evening commute will be highly impacted.

A wintry mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain will develop this evening, eventually changing over to all rain into south-central MI by later Tuesday morning. The commutes for Tuesday morning and Tuesday evening will nearly certainly be a messy ride.
