Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Marquese Chriss has been suspended one game without pay for his role in Monday's altercation with Toronto Raptors' Serge Ibaka, the National Basketball Association announced.

Serge Ibaka and Marquese Chriss were ejected after trading punches during Cleveland Cavs' 126-101 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Ibaka took exception to Chriss' defense as they battled for an inbounds pass with one second left on the clock.

Both players then got involved in a fistfight before Ibaka finally walked away.

Serge Ibaka and Marquese Chriss will likely be facing discipline from the National Basketball Association as a result of their altercation on Monday.

As well, the Raptors had several late injuries in this game, with Kyle Lowry nursing a sore ankle, Pascal Siakam a sore neck/shoulder, and Danny Green also getting hit in a collision.

"I saw it out of the corner of my eye", Cavs forward Love told reporters. At this point, Chriss stares down Ibaka, who quickly gets back up and grabs Chriss by the neck. "It happened so fast".

This isn't Ibaka's first rodeo in the ring, either, resulting in the longer-than-average suspension. Everybody nearly wants to run out there and check what's going on.
