New York Jets Unveil New Jerseys

The Jets unveiled their new uniforms on Thursday and the alternate jersey left fans with mixed feelings.

The three new, bolder colors, Gotham Green, Spotlight White, and Stealth Black, are featured in a new arrangement, most notably, with "New York" stitched across the chest. All three versions feature a more simplistic style than their predecessors.

The team also revealed a refreshed primary logo, which takes the current logo and brings NY to the forefront.

"If we don't play well, the uniforms don't look good", said Jets QB Sam Darnold on stage.

Across the front of each jersey is "NEW YORK", the Jets join the Cleveland Browns (at least for one season) to have their city name across the front of their uniform.

It's in this that fans were not too happy about the Jets' new unis.

The helmet design and logo is inspired by the one worn by Jets players from 1978 to 1997, minus the jet-themed lettering.

The road uniforms feature white jerseys, green numbers, the aforementioned green shoulder stripe and green trousers.

As part of the re-branding initiative, the Jets introduced the new tagline, Take Flight.
