Curry had 25 points, with 16 coming after Durant's injury. It would be a shock if he came back for the end of the Houston series, but Golden State has to hope he can recover in time for some of the Western Conference Finals.

While the Rockets had a chance to win the game last night, it was the Warriors who were able to get hot down the stretch and win the game. They can clinch the series and a spot in the Western Conference finals with a win Friday in Houston.

The Warriors lead the series 3-2, and Kerr was upbeat about his team's mindset heading into Game 6.

There were initial fears it was an Achilles injury, but it was diagnosed as a less serious right calf sprain.

"They are one hell of a basketball team", Celtics coach Brad Stevens told reporters.

Stevens elevated Australian forward Aron Baynes to the starting line-up in an attempt to combat the power of MVP candidate Antetokounmpo, and it worked.

Bogut, the Warriors' veteran Australian centre, did not play for the second straight game.

Baynes put his body on the line and repeatedly thwarted Antetokounmpo from launching to the basket. He had 22 points in 32 minutes, with four assists and five rebounds. He then limped toward the sideline and went to the locker room.

James Harden led the Rockets with 31 points.

"We've had different rotations, we've had different ways to attack, but the one good thing here is we do have experience from before Kevin was here with Steph, Klay, Andre [Iguodala], Shaun [Livingston], our core guys", Kerr said.

Durant has been the Warriors leading scorer this postseason, averaging 34.2 points per game.
