In November 2015, Jet had announced the order for 75 737 MAX single-aisle aircraft from Boeing for United States dollars 8,250 million while IndiGo in August same year firmed up a USD 25.7 billion order for 250 A320neo aircraft.
Design changes for the 737 MAX 10 include a fuselage stretch of 66 inches compared to the 737 MAX 9 and levered main landing gear.
He said: ‘The Max 10 is essentially the same size as the A321 but has about 5 per cent better operating costs per seat so it’s a very attractive airplane.
The first customers to be announced were BOC Aviation, which has signed a memorandum of understanding with BOC Capital for 10 planes, and GE Capital, which has converted 20 orders.
Boeing is betting on the Max 10 to carve out sales and stem customer defections to Airbus’s A321neo, which has racked up a considerable sales lead since being launched three years ago and still has room for upgrades.

This year, each company is expected to announce around 200 orders, though some may only be airlines or leasing companies firming up earlier tentative orders.
