As if that wasn’t enough LCD news for one news cycle, the NY electronic rock titans have also announced a tour itinerary that finds them in Europe come September and then in North America for the rest of the year.
On Monday, LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy announced the band is about to come out with its first new album in seven years and embark on a world tour.
The Brooklyn band will release the long-awaited follow-up to 2010’s This Is Happening at the start of September, followed by a string of tour dates in Europe and America. The record includes the already released title track and ‘Call The Police‘, as well as new cuts “Emotional Haircut”, “Change Yr Mind” and “Other Voices”.
United Kingdom dates for the tour include two dates at the Warehouse Project (16-17 September), Barrowland in Glasgow (19 September) and Alexandra Palace, N22 (22 September).
