Melania Trump responded to her President husband Donald’s Twitter rant against Mika Brzezinski today via her spokesperson, and for someone whose sole focus is anti-bullying, she certainly seems pretty tone deaf.
The shocking tweet is a new low in the ongoing feud between Trump and the two morning show anchors, who were relatively friendly at various points past year before their morning show grew increasingly critical of the president and his policies.
Celebs sided with Brzezinski and Scarborough, and called out Trump for once again commenting on a woman’s appearance.
Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.
“I don’t think so”, Sanders said. John McCain, also criticized the president’s tweets.
President Donald Trump once again ignited controversy on Thursday when he tweeted disparagingly about Morning Joe cohost Mika Brzezinski, calling her “crazy” and alleging that she recently got a facelift.
President Donald Trump started his day not by meeting with USA senators about the new healthcare bill, or the military’s top generals to discuss the country’s increasing role in the Syrian civil war.
Fiance Scarborough also attacked the president for his seemingly below-the-belt tweets: “Never imagined a day when I would think to myself, “it is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States“.
And Democratic Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi is demanding Trump apologize, saying the tweets are sexist and an “assault on the freedom of the press & an insult to all women”.
Trump tweeted that “low I.Q. Crazy” Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift” and said he refused to allow her to join him at Mar-a-Lago.
According to The Hill, Scarborough claims that he and Brzezinski did in fact go to Mar-a-Lago in late 2016, but he said they did it while attempting to set up an interview with the then-President-elect.
