LaVar appeared on the show with his sons Lonzo and LaMelo for a segment on “Miz TV” with The Miz when all hell broke loose. That was the end of Lonzo’s participation in the segment. He got in a heated confrontation with WWE wrestler The Miz, and took his shirt off to cheers from the crowd. It’s unlikely the Ball family will be back on WWE TV for some time.
LaVar then introduced Lonzo, who came down to cheers.
It didn’t take long for the WWE to respond.
It turned out that having LaVar Ball on RAW wasn’t the dumbest idea that the WWE had Monday night.
During the segment, LaMelo Ball twice used a racial slur that was broadcast over the air.
According to Houston Mitchell of the Los Angeles Times, LaMelo yelled, “Beat that n–r”, during a segment involving Intercontinental champion The Miz and Dean Ambrose.
The Ball crew did a much less scripted interview after their appearance, talking about how it all went down.
LaVar Ball, the National Basketball Association dad who was made for the WWE, appeared on Monday Night Raw at the Staples Center and did not disappoint. Just a hunch, but it probably will be their last.
